The idea for these rugs came many years ago on Nantucket. "When I first purchased the inn, I had the good fortune to acquire so many of the old sea captain's furnishing. Of the many interesting antiques there were these wonderful hooked rugs with braided borders. For many years I thought about them and now, I've recreated them with some of my more popular designs as centers." Claire Murray. Centre designs are hand hooked from 100% of the finest wool available. Braided borders are hand braided from a blend of many different yarns and in some cases Claires fabrics.
